Correlation Between USMLE Prometric Practice Test Scores and Actual Performance

The importance of accurately predicting performance on the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1 examination cannot be overstated. A positive correlation between the MCAT and Step 1 scores has been observed, with an average score of 510.1 ± 6.3 on the MCAT corresponding to an average score of 246.1 ± 14.2 on Step 1.
